STEM programme ‘Preparing children for success

Stockland green prides itself on promoting STEM subjects (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) through our unique STEM programme. The program is available to students throughout their school lives to prepare them, to excel in their chosen career paths after leaving school. The overall aim of this initiative is to enable students to build the competencies, and develop the fundamental skills that employers, colleges and universities will be looking for post 16. Participation in the programme is based on a Teacher/Parent/Student agreement, to ensure that all stakeholders do their part in keeping students focused on their career paths. The student’s skill sets will be challenged through their application of problem solving skills when faced with real world problems and scenarios, which will take place in school settings and external projects run by STEM based companies, such as Jaguar, Carillion and local universities.
