Press Gang are the proud team of reporters behind the ‘Green Gazette’. Press Gang are a cutting edge team of aspiring, believing and achieving students who unite to produce our school newspaper. Students have use of innovative technology during Press Gang to ensure they are well-equipped reporters, ready to keep our school community up to date with the latest news, latest celebrations and latest entertainment from Stockland Green School.

New for the 2021/2022 academic year, we have already hit the ground running with students taking an active role and ownership of the school newspaper. Students attend and report on extra-curricular activities, interview students and staff, as well as using their creative skills to write fascinating news articles. Students who attend Press Gang are up to date with school events and thrive on providing regular updates on the school show, our commitment to UNICEF, photographing new displays and reporting on the activities of Cole, Tame and Rea House. Students show passion and enthusiasm for their articles and actively seek out exciting news from around the school, which celebrates our students demonstrating their PRIDE values and following the Stockland Green Standard.

Press Gang aim to publish a newspaper once per half term which provides entertainment for all who read it. Students are working towards entering the ‘Shine School Media Awards’ in 2022, as well as submitting their entries for a Blue Peter Badge this term.

The agreement is compliant with Crime & Disorder Act 1998 (s.115) and Data Protection Act 1998(s.29.3; s.35.2.), and focuses on preventing young people from becoming involved or further involved in crime and anti-social behaviour as a victim or offender.
